Ugly Sweater Party
When: 7-10pm Friday 7 April
Where: FITZ Youth Centre, Village Green Parade, St Ives
Ku-ring-gai Youth Services is inviting young people aged 12-24 years with special needs to dress up in their best “Ugly Sweater” for our themed Discobility event.
So dust off your old sweater or even get creative and make your own.
Discobility offers a great opportunity for young people in the community to meet new friends and dance the night away.
Entry includes food and drink during the evening. Music will be provided by DJ Andy!
Discobility will be supervised by youth workers from Ku-ring-gai Council, parents, carers and friends welcome and no extra cost.
Nature Art for Kids
When: Wednesday 12 April & Thursday 20 April 2017
Where: Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney
EarlyEd & the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney are running an inclusive holiday activity this April for families with primary school aged children who have additional needs. Children will get to discover the Garden’s and create artworks in this hour long session. EarlyEd staff will attend, to offer additional support to families and children. Bookings are essential and further details are on the attached flyer.
A free ballroom dancing class
When: every Monday until Monday 1 May 2017
Beginners: 9.30am – 11.30am
Intermediate: 12.30pm – 2.30pm
The beginners ballroom dancing class for older people can be enjoyed on a social level.
The intermediate ballroom dancing class is for people who have advanced from the beginners level and want to take it to the next step.
Partnered and single people are welcome.
This class is inclusive of people with disabilities. If you have any questions about taking part and accessing our centre please call 02 9288 5713.
