NDIS Price Increases, Heroes Stay Loyal
At Home Care Heroes, we are maintaining our affordable flat rate of $32 per hour despite price changes in the NDIS. Each year, on 1 July, the NDIA is expected to update their price list taking into account market trends, changes in supply & demand and wage rates. Although most providers will increase their prices in accordance with this, we are sticking to our pricing system.
On 1 July 2017, NDIA published its revised 2017/18 price guide based on data from the NDIS actuary on forecasted demand for supports as below.
Why we’re sticking to $32 per hour which is less than the NDIS price guide?
Our approach in everything we do, including pricing, is based on commitment to our vision of creating sustainable communities that engage and help each other through quality and personalised support. For us at Home Care Heroes, it’s more important that we help participants achieve their goals rather than increasing our margins. We can do this by staying focused on companionship and non-medical services and being the best at this.
Our focus on social activities and community participation is designed to help participants get the most out of their plans. As a result, they can maximise the number of hours of support they receive and reach bigger and better goals for their Core Supports and Capacity Building plans.
Each week our participants get an extra 2 hours to spend with their Hero who acts as a mentor or a big brother or sister. Our biggest pride is to know that over a period of 52 weeks, our participants save up to an additional 100 hours of support with Home Care Heroes! Imagine how much you would be able to achieve with this extra support!
